BearingPoint Capital is seeking Consultants to join our global M&A team in London to work in the Technology Due diligence service.

Your primary tasks will include: 

 

  • Transaction Execution: Work collaboratively with private equity and corporate clients on the buy- and sell-side to deliver technology due-diligence. 

  • Gain a deep understanding of IT strategy, architecture, infrastructure and key organizational drivers that help influence excellence in IT, to support the Tech due-diligence projects 

  • Support the Manager and Senior Management by undertaking project management responsibilities 

  • Support (and where possible lead certain elements) the design, preparation, plan and delivery of engagements in the M&A space, including pre-deal (Technology due-diligence, carve-out planning) post-deal (integration/ separation) and value creation (cost reduction etc.) 

  • Where required, assume ownership of workstreams in blended project delivery teams across the technology practice for projects, supporting engagement managers 

  • Be fungible to support global teams on projects that expand commercial and technology knowledge base 

  • Organize and participate in client meetings, supporting the preparation, planning and assisting in the delivery of pitches, RFP’s, RFI’s etc. 

  • Assist in developing and executing BearingPoint’s firmwide M&A strategy 

  • Opportunity to work beyond technology due diligence to support carve-out and integrations. 

 

  

Are you looking to work in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating and fast paced environment, and have the following characteristics and background? 

 

  • 2-4 years of relevant and related work experience in an M&A advisor or consulting environment 

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science with an outstanding academic record from leading universities 

  • A good understanding of information technology including software architectural principles, IT infrastructure, SDLC is required  

  • Good command of English language, with experience of delivering high-quality reports and presentations, written and spoken  

  • Demonstrated interest in the intersection between M&A, strategy and technology 

  • Ability to present confidently to clients and senior leadership 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Willingness to travel as required 

  • Fluency in English (European languages desirable) 

  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK
